i arrived to thunderstorms and rain in boston. yuck. but today is lovely, if a bit fall-like. the rest of my time in the bahamas was just as amazing as the first 24 hours. it really is a lovely life down there. here are a few pics of jasmin and myself:
it was exactly what i needed, the best birthday present i've given myself in a long while. i had a lot of time to think and talk and ponder life and where we're all headed. a lot has happened this month. if you know me, you'll know what that is. some of it is much too personal for a blog, and some is not really mine to share so publicly. but suffice it to say, there has been much to think about of late.
apart from my trip, things are moving quickly in boston. i've started an online human development course. which really just means i read a book and turn in homework assignments every so often, and that there are a group of people on an online chatroom like website that i can get together and study with if i need to. it's really a self-directed course. and i'm studying for the GRE which i am going to attempt to take at the end of october - giving me an 8-week self-directed study plan. so i'm doing quite a lot of self-directing these days. i suppose that's a good thing. a very good thing.
thank you to my aunt lynne who sent me 'eat, love, pray' - which i am thoroughly enjoying.
and thank you to everyone else who sent me cards, notes, texts and calls on my birthday. i feel very loved.

Beautiful photo of you (second one down) I love the bob. But then what mom doesn't think her daughter is beautiful in every way. I love you. You are right where you should be.
