i'm slowly convincing myself i should get a car. not because i necessarily need one, mind you, but because i'm sure i would:
a) listen to more music
b) catch up with friends
c) find alone time
all of which are great! especially b. i've had two calls out of the blue this week from friends who only have the peace and quiet time to call when they are driving. sans kids and sans other daily distractions. (apart from the road, of course!). not that i will ever own a gas guzzler (i'm thinking a toyota or a mazda) ... but it sure is difficult to call people from the bike. i'm harboring a secret desire to buy a car and drive across the country. so perhaps in 2008, i can make that happen. we shall see.

Ok, the car thing is fine. However, I don't think people should drive and talk on cell phones. Even with a hands free device you are distracted and not focusing on the task at hand, driving safely. Sounds like you had a great time at the wedding. Can't wait to see you out west for Thanksgiving...
A car In BOSTON! Are you nuts! On what you'd spend in insurance,parking fees,tickets et.al. you could RENT a small room to be alone in! :) Just rent a car whwn you get the urge to escape/ or better yet,sit down and wait for it to pass! We all miss you! Wish I could be in Boston for the Fall color. Much love
